Cherry blossom season is here! Xie Yun Temple in Miaoli's Shitan, which is located over 700 meters above sea level, is surrounded by 3,000 cherry blossom trees. Due to the late winter, the flowering period was delayed by one month. Around 80 percent of the trees were in bloom during the Lunar New Year holidays and the beautiful sight attracted large crowds of tourists to the area.
The cherry blossom trees covering the hillside are in full bloom. Tourists of all ages, including more than a few wearing kimonos, pose among the pink blossoms.
It's very beautiful with so many cherry blossoms. (Is it just like Japan?) It's the same kind of feeling.
